Villas-Boas said Thursday he believes the deal for Modric, who expressed his desire to leave in May, will be completed in the next few days. it has been hung up by Spurs chairman Daniel
Levy's demands for a fee of around $63 million.
Villas-Boas wants the deal done so he can spend on new signings. Asked if there was any progress in negotiations between the
clubs, Villas-Boas said: "The chairman has told me the talks are ongoing. They are making some progress and the situation can be solved within the next couple days."
Tottenham bolstered its
