[MEXICO] Mexico remained in the hunt for a berth in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Under-20 Women's World Cup with a 2-0 win over Switzerland on Thursday. Coach Leonardo Cuellar started seven U.S. residents, five from California and one each from Arizona and Idaho.

Santa Clara's Sofia Huerta had her second goal in two games, and minutes after entering the game, Olivia Jimenez, formerly of the Arizona Rush, scored with the goal of the tournament, a blast from 45 yards (VIDEO)

Seven of the starters play for U.S. colleges, and an eighth, high school senior Tanya Samarzich, has committed to USC for next year. Natalia Gomez Junco, a sophomore at Memphis, is the only U.S. collegian who hails from Mexico (Monterrey).
