[USA-CHILE] The U.S. under-17 national team got three goals in 11 minutes and rolled over Chile, 5-1, in the opening match of the Four Nations Tournament on
Tuesday at Estadio de Club Colon in Santa Fe, Argentina. Forward Corey Baird scored twice in the opening six minutes and Rubio
Rubin added a third goal in the 11th minute.
Alan Winn added a goal in the first half to give the U.S. a commanding 4-0 lead heading into
halftime. Second-half substitute Mukwelle Akale, who entered the match in the 63rd minute, provided the USA with a five-goal cushion with a goal in the 69th
minute.
The U.S. U-17s scheduled to play Argentina on Thursday. The hosts beat Panama, 2-0, in the tournament’s other match on Tuesday.
