In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service, the Long Island Volunteer Center in conjunction with Modell’s Sporting Goods and the Children’s Sport Connection is sponsoring a gently-used sports equipment drive.
Here is your chance to make a difference in the lives of children by allowing them to stay active in organized sports during difficult times. The equipment collected will support SCO Family of Services and other youth organizations throughout Long Island.
Children’s Sport Connection provides financial assistance and sports equipment to children from homes in the midst of a family crisis and believes that children can benefit from being able to say active in organized sports during difficult times.
The boys and girls at SCO can use:
Basketballs, Soccer Balls, Footballs, Tennis Balls, Tennis Rackets, Lacrosse Balls, Lacrosse Sticks
