Kayla Arestivo of Northport and Francesca Venezia of Wantagh, top players with the ENYYSA Olympic Development Program, were selected to play with the Girls-Under-14 National Team. Coached by Eric Teepe in the ODP program, they will be training at the U.S. Girls-Under-14 National Team Training Camp in Carson, California from May 27 to June 3.

Kayla also plays with the Long Island Junior Soccer League’s Dix Hills Panthers, 2011 State Open Cup finalists, in addition to playing ODP.

“Kayla is a very aggressive forward who uses her quickness to get behind defenders,” commented Coach Teepe. “Additionally, she has a very good shot.”

Francesca plays for the Albertson Red 98 Fury in addition to playing ODP. She played for the Wantagh High School Varsity as an eighth grader and scored three goals in her varsity debut game last fall while competing against opponents four years older than her.

“Francesca is a very dynamic player who can beat players off the dribble or through combination play,” said Coach Teepe. “She reads the game very well.”
