Entry Level Referee Course Offered in Bohemia

The USSF Entry Level Referee Course (Grade 9) to become an Assistant Referee is open for registration. Registration will close on Friday August 8th. Classes will be held at Connectquot Library, 760 Ocean Ave, Bohemia, NY 11716 . Please keep in mind that you must be at least 13 years old in order to be assigned any games.
You must attend both classes from 4pm - 8:45pm - no food or drinks are permitted
Day 1 – Monday August 11th
Day 2 – Thursday August 14th
A Mandatory Parent’s meeting is held on Monday Aug. 11th 7:30-8:45pm at the Library.
The cost of the course is $140. If you cancel after the closing date, a refund will be given less $55 for the uniform. LISRA must receive your payment by Friday August 8th in order to reserve a seat and get a uniform by the close date of the course or your registration may be canceled.
*** Uniforms will be delivered Monday August 25th to the LISRA office at 701-9 Koehler Ave, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 (5 minutes north from the library). It will be your responsibility to make an appointment and pick up your uniform.
LISRA must receive your payment in order to reserve a seat and get a uniform by the close date of the course or your registration may be canceled. You may pay by check or credit card. PayPal (you don’t need a pay pal account) appears only at the end of the registration process so please have your Credit Card ready before you start.
Minimum per class size is 15. If the minimum is not met, class will be canceled and money returned. Once the class is full, the class will be closed, so register immediately to reserve your seat! You MUST reserve your seat in advance for this class and no walk-ins will be accepted.
As part of the “Entry Level Referee Course (Grade 9) Requirements, you will need to complete all 17 of the online Grade 9 Referee Course Modules prior to the first class. You must enter the State Association NEW YORK - EAST and Clinic Number 1P in order to get credit for the module. Print a copy of the certificate that appears at the end of each module for your records and bring to the first night of the course.
Each module is about 4 to 6 minutes long. To complete all 17 modules (Laws) will require about 90 minutes. You can do a little at a time and return later.
