Lions Roar To Kick Cancer
October 05, 2015
The Levittown Lions GU9 raised $170 through a Gold Bucks campaign. The purpose of this campaign was to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer, hence the gold socks. The Lions will be dividing the money between two foundations; The Nicholas Pedone Foundation and the Christina Renna Foundation. Nicholas was a seven year old boy who had Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, the same type of cancer that Levittown Soccer Club member Carsyn Volpe has. Unfortunately, Nicholas lost his battle with the disease. The purpose of the Christina Renna Foundation is to raise money for Childhood Cancer research.
