LIJSL Club Development Days Are A Continued Success

The LIJSL had its final Petro Home Services Club Development Day of the spring on Saturday, June 8, as U7 and U8 players had another chance to take the field against teams from other clubs, improve their technique, and have a ton of fun doing so.

Over 40 teams and several hundred people were on hand at the Peter C. Collins Soccer Park in Plainview, N.Y., to participate in the event. Along with the usual format of teams getting to play in three match conditions during the festival-like atmosphere, the New York Red Bulls Youth Programs were also in attendance and provided a DJ, skills competitions, a freestyle team, and more.

“We are extremely happy to take part every season in the LIJSL Club Development Days,” said Tim Nolan, who is the Wantagh/Seaford PAL Director of Coaching. ” It gives our youngest players ,who are still working hard on their skill development, to take their hard work during training and play against like minded clubs in match conditions.

“The great atmosphere, especially today with the NY Red Bulls coming out, makes it conducive to playing hard and for the right reasons. The players see the labor of their hard work on the field. These Club Development Days are just another way LIJSL has been the best league when it comes to development.”
