Long Island Junior Soccer League

Player Development Program (PDP)

The LIJSL Player Development Program (PDP) is designed for the player looking to take their game to the next level. This program identifies, develops, and showcases talented players while providing the opportunities for each player to develop to the best of his/her ability in a safe, fun, and challenging environment. The top, motivated players from clubs across Long Island (any club or league) can regularly train together in an elite development setting.

Weekly training sessions are led by licensed/certified coaches using the latest coaching methodologies that are appropriate. Each age group has specific technical and tactical goals based on a curriculum that progresses with players through the ages. The program includes weekly scheduled indoor/outdoor sessions, opportunities to participate in “friendlies” and tournaments during the outdoor season.

We believe this approach provides each player the greatest likelihood for successful, rewarding and enjoyable experience that allows players to improve their level of play. Furthermore, it will prepare players for higher levels of play at the State, Regional, and National levels.
